Brick ovens were one of the earliest inventions of humanity in the field of cooking. Oddly enough, the brick ovens were formerly used to create steel weaponry such as swords and spears. However, as time went by, some really intelligent people have managed to use it for cooking purposes. The earliest usage for brick ovens were of course cooking bread. If my memory serves me right, I believe that bread was one of the most popular food in the early eras.
